Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a drive method and circuit that is less affected by a noise spike by using a PWM chopping signal for sampling a voltage at a proper time when the noise spike is reduced. CONSTITUTION: In a controller 10, a drive voltage is supplied to output terminals OUT-A, B, and C by a power stage 11, the power stage 11 supplies a sequential control output signal to each output terminal by a sequencer circuit 13, and an interface circuit 12 supplies an output signal from the sequencer circuit 13 to a power stage 11. Further, each output terminal is subjected to switching control and is connected to an inverse electromotive force sense amplifier 14, a signal is supplied to a zero cross detector circuit 16 and an input signal is supplied to a digital delay circuit 17, and the output controls the operation of the sequencer 13. As a result, the maximum current that is supplied to a drive coil is controlled and the zero cross of the back electromotive force of the drive coil being connected to a floating state is detected, thus prohibiting the detection of zero cross for a given amount of time.
