Abstract:
To provide a method for evaluating the effect of ground improvement by a chemical injection method using electrical logging, which enables evaluation of a uniaxial compressive strength of an improved body by measuring electrical resistivity before and after improvement.SOLUTION: In advance, a correlation diagram is obtained in which the vertical axis is a uniaxial compressive strength (qu) and the horizontal axis is a ratio of electrical resistivity (Rimp) of the improved ground and electrical resistivity (Runimp) of the unimproved ground (Rimp/Runimp). Based on the correlation diagram, a threshold value is set for the ratio (Rimp/Runimp) of the electrical resistivity (Rimp) of the improved ground and the electrical resistivity (Runimp) of the unimproved ground under the condition that target uniaxial compressive strength (quck) can be secured. Before and after the ground improvement, the electrical resistivity is measured by electrical logging using a penetration hole vertically formed in the ground, and the ratio of the electrical resistivity (Rimp/Runimp) is obtained. Depending on whether this is greater or less than the threshold, it is determined whether the target uniaxial compressive strength (quck) is secured.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 22
