Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the single core separability of an optical fiber tape core wire by quantitatively and accurately grasping the surface cured state of the colored layer of a colored optical fiber.
SOLUTION: This evaluation method for the surface state of the colored optical fiber includes a first step for forming the colored layer (4) on the peripheral surface of an optical fiber (3) by curing an ultreaviolet curable resin composition containing a colorant, a second step for arranging a plurality of the colored optical fiber (5) obtained in the first step and arranging a waterdrop (W) on the surface of the colored fiber to measure a contact angle (β) and a third step for evaluating the surface cured state of each of the colored optical fiber (5) on the basis of the contact angle (β) obtained in the second step.
