Abstract:
PURPOSE: To detect an article below a standard level and remove the article from a line by passing the article from the line to a conveyor means and then weighing the article.
CONSTITUTION: Filled cartons are conveyed along a main conveyor line 1 and then transferred onto slave conveyors 13-19 by means of a gate 11. A weighing unit 17 installed on a weighing load cell 20 weighs individual cartons passing thereon. The weighing unit 17 is coupled with a unit for delivering an alarm upon detecting an underweight article and removing that article.
