Abstract:

To provide a method for examining bone-joint diseases such as osteoarthritis, etc.

Onset of osteoarthritis is associated with single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) existing in HLA gene locus and long arm 25.1 region of chromosome 15 and the polymorphisms are examined to accurately estimate onset risk and onset of bone-joint diseases such as osteoarthritis, etc. A probe for examining bone-joint diseases has a specific sequence of ≥10 bases or its complementary sequence. A primer for examining bone-joint diseases amplifies a region containing a base of specific base number in a specific sequence.
