To provide a method of effectively and conveniently extracting intracellular components of a microalgae that is capable of efficiently collecting the microalgae in a short period of time by an energy-saving and convenient operation without performing a centrifuge separation or the like in the case of unicellular microalgae, and that is capable of efficiently and conveniently extracting the components produced in the cells by the microalgae.
The method of extracting intracellular components of the microalgae includes the steps of: forming a paper pulp layer forming a paper pulp layer 2 on a filter 1; adjusting zeta potential from -15 mV to +15 mV in a microalgae suspension including at least microalgae; collecting the microalgae by discharging the microalgae suspension 3 having the adjusted zeta potential to the paper pulp layer; and extracting the components produced in the microalgae cells from a paper pulp sheet including the microalgae obtained in the collection step.
