To provide a method of feeding a solid catalyst for olefin polymerization in a dry condition continuously into a polymerizer.
In feeding a solid catalyst for olefin polymerization in a dry condition from catalyst storage tank 1 through rotary valve 2 to inlet 5 of catalyst feeding pipe 3 and feeding from outlet 6 of the catalyst feeding pipe to gas-phase fluidized bed reactor 10, the catalyst fed through rotary valve 2 to catalyst feeding pipe 3 intermittently is fluidized by a carrier gas blown into the catalyst feeding pipe and carried toward the outlet and at the same time the catalyst which exists discontinuously in the catalyst feeding pipe is made to exist continuously and the catalyst is fed from the outlet to the gas- phase fluidized bed reactor continuously.
