Title:
METHOD FOR FIRING POROUS CERAMIC SINTERED BODY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3942149
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a firing method by which the content of soot and or activated carbon in a porous ceramic sintered body can be maintained, stability in the quality and form can be maintained, a high-quality porous ceramic sintered body can be mass produced in a short period.
SOLUTION: The firing method of a porous ceramic sintered body is carried out in the following steps. A porous ceramic sintering raw material with raw bamboo or the like are housed in an almost sealed state in a refractory container, and a great number of the containers are housed in an almost sealed state in a continuous firing furnace. The temperature in the firing furnace is increased and the containers in the firing furnace are sintered in a high temperature atmosphere. The furnace is sealed into which a smoking gas is injected to keep the porous ceramic sintering raw material and bamboo or the like in a non-oxygen state, to uniformly render the whole part of the porous ceramic sintered body in a great number of containers into a reduced state and to smoke the porous ceramic sintered body. Then the obtained porous ceramic sintered body is cooled and then taken out.
