PURPOSE: To provide a forging method by which processes from a forging to a shaping for an integrated type crank shaft including the prousses of a twisting and the shape forming is executed with a single stand of an equipment and a forging cost of the crank shaft is reduced.
CONSTITUTION: A forging press frame 1 has two stands of rams, that is, a forging ram 2 and a shaping ram 3. The forging ram 2 executes a pre-forging, a rough forging, a finish forging and a deburring. The shaping ram 3 executes a twisting and the shaping. The forging press frame 1 has intermediate column 1-1, reduces the deformation of the forging press frame 1 and maintains the precision of a material to be machined. The shaping ram 3 has a torsion pressurizing ram 25 for pressurizing a torsion die in order to twist, and twisting is executed, while the material to be machined is pressurized by this torsion pressurizing ram 25, with the use of a push down arm pressing tool 24 attached on the shaping ram 3 by the force of the shaping ram 3, after that, the shaping is executed with a shaping die 30.
