Abstract:
To provide a method for forging a crankshaft, which method can achieve a necessary and sufficient correcting effect by correcting the shape of a counter weight in a trimming process without increasing the number of the forging processes.
In a crankshaft forging 5 forged by the processes including a step of first rough forging, a step of second rough forging, a step of finish forging, a step of trimming, a step of twisting, and a step of re-striking, and the shape correction of the counter weight 3 is performed in the step of trimming at the same time. A trimming die 8 is provided with correcting rollers 9, 10 for correcting the shape of the counter weight 3 by ironing work by the correcting rollers 9, 10.
