This method comprises the following process: an airborne fiber stream is laid on a web-shaped forming member such as a wire net (20) and bonded together into an air laid fibrous web, wherein the original air laid fibrous web is fed in between two web-shaped forming members (19 and 20) and bonded together into the objective air laid fibrous web either when the original web is located between the two web-shaped forming members or immediately after one of them has left the original web.
