PURPOSE: To form an airfoil-shaped body having excellent dimensional accuracy by designing a matrix as using the constant factor in the prescribed relational expression, based on assumption, in which a shrinkage of two-dimensional airfoil shape goes toward the center of the max. inscribing circle, in the airfoil shaped body following the volume change.
CONSTITUTION: Processes in the design are as follows. 1) The center Q of the max. inscribing circle for the airfoil shape is found. 2) Distances between typical points AWH of the airfoil shape and the center Q1 distances between centers E, F of inlet and outlet end circle arcs for the airfoil shape and A, B points, respectively and typical points A'WH' of the matrix airfoil shape from the factor K are found. 3) The matrix coordinate points J1'WJn' corresponding to coordinate points J1WJn for each abutting point of the typical points AWH (except E and F) of the airfoil shape is found from the relational expression. 4) The processes of 1)W3) about plural sections is applied. 5) Distances Z' between the sections to the matrix is found from each distance between the sections of the airfoil shape and the factor K. In this way, the formings at the airfoil center and inlet and outlet ends having high accuracy are obtd. and at the same time, the deformation occurred at each section is prevented.
