Abstract:
To form a heat shield film which prevents a member 1 forming a combustion chamber of an engine from cracking and has high adhesion strength with respect to the member.SOLUTION: A method for forming heat shield film comprises the steps to form: coating film 15 with a heat curable coating material for heat shield film on a member 1; and heat shield film through heat curing of the coating film 15. The coating film 15 contains a catalyst enhancing the curing. In the step to form the coating film 15, catalyst density is made higher in a portion which undergoes a high degree of temperature increase due to the heat than in a portion which undergoes a low degree of temperature increase.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
