To provide a method for forming an image for stably obtaining a high-quality image free from fog by coarse toner power for a long period.
The method includes: a latent image forming process of forming an electrostatic latent image on an electrostatic latent image carrier; a toner image process of developing the electrostatic latent image on the electrostatic latent image carrier with an electrostatic latent image developer containing toner to form a toner image; a transfer process of transferring the toner image; a fixing process of fixing the toner image; and a toner replenishing process of replenishing, sequentially or as needed, the toner consumed in development. In the toner replenishing process, the toner is replenished from a toner replenishing device to the developing device connected to the replenishing device, the replenishing device having a toner feeding port and a toner discharge port and having a sealing material introduced between the toner feeding port and a member blocking the toner feeding port. The toner has 110 to 140 shape factor SF1 and 3 to 7 μm volume average particle size.
