The saw blade such as a plain saw blade is manufactured of an inexpensive steel such as the ordinary steel, the voltage is applied to perform the electric discharge machining between the true edge of the saw blade and both sides of the saw blade and an electrode formed of tungsten carbide cobalt, etc., a cemented carbide film is covered on the length portion of the true edge and a tip portion of both sides of the saw blade, and side surfaces facing each other and forming the blade length portion orthogonal to both sides of the saw blade covered by the cemented carbide film is ground by a grinding means such as a grinding wheel to form a sharp edge on the true edge of the saw blade. The saw blades of the plain saw blades and the circular saw blades manufactured of a special steel such as the high-speed steel and the carbon steel and chipped when used in cutting a metal are recovered, and a sharp edge is formed on the saw blade in the above method for recycling.
