To improve the thermal property and physical strength of a solid compacted pellet of an organic material.
The method of forming a solid compacted pellet of organic materials is adaptable for making an organic layer on a structure which is will form part of an OLED (organic light emitting diode) display. The method includes (a) preparing sublimable organic material in a power form, (b) preparing non-sublimable and thermally insulating inorganic material in a power form, (c) forming a mixture of the sublimable organic material powder and the non-sublimable and thermally insulating inorganic material powder, (d) placing the mixture into a die and applying a pressure sufficient to the mixture to consolidate into a solid pellet, using two punches including upper and lower punches, (e) heating the die during or prior to applying pressure by the opposing punches to facilitate the making of the solid compacted pellet through consolidating the powder mixture, and (f) taking out the compacted pellet from the die.
