Abstract:
To solve the problem in which: in an aqueous system of a cooling water system, a circulation type bathtub and paper pulp manufacturing process water, slime composed of bacteria, fungus and algae is generated in the system, which causes microorganism trouble such as a degradation in heat transfer efficiency, blockage of piping and corrosion of a metal material in many cases; free chlorine and a combined chlorine agent have been used so as to suppress generation of such slime and reduce the generated slime; both of conventional materials have a problem.SOLUTION: A method for producing combined chlorine irradiates, with ultraviolet light, (a) chlorite, (b) one or more nitrogen-containing compounds selected from 5,5-dimethyl hydantoin, a sulfamic acid and ammonium chloride, and a liquid mixture containing the (a) and the (b).SELECTED DRAWING: None
