Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for generating movement to the skin of a robot capable of selectively giving the movement of an arbitrary range at an arbitrary site of the skin of the robot.
SOLUTION: A net-shaped shape memory element net 1 is formed by connecting a plurality of shape memory elements 14 via a plurality of binding node elements 15. The shape memory element net 1 is arranged between a skeleton 5 and the skin 9 such that the plurality of binding node elements 15 can be moved relative to the skin of the skeleton 5. The surface shape of the skin 9 is changed moving the binding node elements 15 by changing the shape of the shape memory elements 14 by giving controlling commands to the two or more of binding node elements 15 placed on both sides of the respective shape memory elements 14.
