Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method capable of automatically defining a multi-block grid in a three-dimensional space area including plural finite faces having four sides by including a step for determining an opposite face having a specific number in the total number of different sides of a reference face, an opposite face and respective side faces.
SOLUTION: A 1st set consisting of a reference face, an opposite face and four side faces for defining one of plural blocks is identified. One of plural faces is specified as a reference face and a 2nd set consisting of faces having common sides common to the reference face and consisting of faces other than the reference face is determined. Then a 3rd set which has common sides common to the faces of the 2nd set but does not belong to the 2nd set and does not coincide with the reference face is determined. Then an opposite face which is an opposite face belonging to the 3rd set, has common sides common to four side faces belonging to the 2nd set and has twelve sides in the total number of individual sides of the reference face, the opposite face and the four side faces is determined.
