Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously obtain the almost spherical grain of an adsorbent having a high density and used for the adsorption core of an adsorption type refrigerator.
SOLUTION: The raw powder 1 of an adsorbent is compacted between a couple of rollers while applying vacuum deaeration into a green compact 2 in a compacting stage, and the density and strength are increased. Subsequently, the obtained green compact 2 is charged between a couple of grinders opposed to each other with a gap in between in a milling stage, crushed and ground, and the compact is granulated into an almost spherical grain of specified size. The compacting stage and milling stage are successively operated, and a high- quantity adsorbent grain is efficiently obtained.
