Abstract:

To provide a method for heating a cast slab with which in order to improve the precision of a temperature control in the cast slab, an unnecessary heating in a heating furnace is restrained and economical temperature-rising can be obtained by setting a controlled temperature index for operating by applying a three-dimensional temperature calculation with multi-points continuous calculation to the temperature.

In the method for heating the cast slab, produced with a continuous casting machine, the relation of a temperature distribution between the length of the cast slab 10 and the cross-sectional temperature from the surface temperature of the cast slab 10 and casting condition, is obtained through from a charging side to an extracting side. Then, the thermal powers of each burners 18, 19 are controlled based on the center position of the cast slab 10, and the difference of the average temperatures between the one side and the other side in the longitudinal direction at the extracting position based on the center position, is made to be -15°C to +15°C, and the difference between the lowest temperature of the cross-sectional surface of the one side and the average temperature distribution of the other side, is controlled to be -10°C to +20°C.
