Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the quality of products, yield of products and production efficiency and to reduce the cost of equipment such as the cost of construction and cost of equipment maintenance as compared to a slab casting-large reduction rolling method.
SOLUTION: After a 20-50 mm thick sheet bar which is continuously cast with a sheet-bar caster 1A is passed through a 1st posture straightening device 7A as it is and made into an upend sheet-bar coil SC1 by coiling the sheet bar in a upend state, the upend sheetbar coil is uncoiled and, after the sheet bar is passed through the 2nd posture straightening device 1B and finish rolling is executed, it is coiled into a hot coil SC2.
