Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make possible to cut off by impregnating hot water for a short time to upgrade productivity, by boiling the timber with high pressure hot water in a pressure vessel. CONSTITUTION: A timber 1 cut to length of the half-split chopsticks is carried into a pressure vessel A on a push car loading with some cases 2 containing them, and heated with high pressure and high temperature steam and the steam is exhausted. Then, the vessel A is supplied with water, and heated and pressurized after stopping water supply on its reaching a sufficient volume to immerse the chopsticks. The heated water penetrates into the timber and impregnates it with a given moisture to give fibrous tissue flexibility. The immersing time is enough for some minutes. At last, stored water and high pressure air are exhausted out. The timber for the half-split chopsticks is easily cut by a cutter to give clear cutting on the section.
