Abstract:
To provide a method for improving fatigue strength of light metal such as aluminum or the like.
In the method for improving fatigue of a weld part of the light metal, a projection material having a diameter of 0.1 to 0.3 mm is projected on a weld toe of the light metal, and the weld toe R is changed by being changed in shape, so that a fatigue notch factor is improved, compressive residual stress is added, and hardness increases. Consequently, the fatigue strength of the weld part is improved.
