Abstract:
To provide a novel method capable of improving acid cleaning property of a hot rolled steel sheet by modifying a composition of an iron oxide contained in a scale.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for improving acid cleaning property of a hot rolled steel sheet including a heat treatment of the hot rolled steel sheet in a non-oxidative atmosphere before an acid cleaning treatment for scale removal, in which the heat treatment is conducted under oxygen concentration pre-calculated from a relationship with FeOthickness in the scale, a heat treatment temperature, and holding time, FeOthickness in the scale within 50 mm from a terminal part in a sheet width direction in the hot rolled steel sheet after the heat treatment is prescribed thickness smaller than the FeOthickness before the heat treatment or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
