PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte and a method which enable the increase in secondary power source capacity.SOLUTION: A method of increasing a secondary power source capacity comprises the step of doping a compound into an electrolyte as an additive of which the binding energy is higher than the binding energy of combinations that are formed during secondary power source discharge. The compound of type AB[where A is a metal, and B is a noble gas] is doped as an additive.SELECTED DRAWING: None
