To provide a method of indicating the effectiveness of destruction of a contrast agent, a system for implementing the method, and a computer-readable medium storing a command to execute the method.

The effectiveness of destruction of the contrast agent is determined (32). The location where the contrast agent is not effectively destroyed is identified (32). The response from the undestroyed contrast agent may be discriminated from the response acquired from tissue due to saturation or the response acquired from rapid perfusion (34 and 36). These locations may be highlighted (40) on resulting images, by which locations not associated with perfusion are indicated to a user (40). The user may make a diagnosis on perfusion rather than a lack of destruction of the contrast agent.
