Abstract:
PURPOSE: To stably induce the callus of kenaf in a short period by aseptically culturing kenaf seeds in a pH-adjusted synthetic solid medium containing both an auxin and cytokinin.
CONSTITUTION: Seeds of kenaf (Hibiscus-cannabinus) are sterilized, put on a pH-adjusted synthetic solid medium containing a carbon source, auxin (e.g. 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid) and cytokinin (e.g. kinetin), and then cultured aseptically.
