Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce reproducing errors and to increase a recording density by 50% by reproducing information by using a binary signal having a small bit positional deviation when presence/absence of a bit '1' is detected.
CONSTITUTION: This method decides a limit of a recording density by a positional deviation of a bit '1' of '1001' pattern since an error due to the positional deviation of the bit '1' generated heretofore in the '1001' pattern is eliminated when presence/absence of the bit '1' is detected. That is, information of 3 bits can be compressed to a length of 2 bits of prior art, and its recording density is increased substantially by 50%.
