Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method in which an excellent polymerization inhibiting effect is realized at a low concentration of a inhibitor even at a high temperature, the effect is sustained for a lone period and stable operation of can be performed in a production and purifying process of styrenes.
SOLUTION: This method comprises the use of (A) piperidine-1-oxyls with (B) phenols having 2 or 3 hydroxyl groups in one benzene ring in combination in the presence of oxygen as a characteristic.
