To control production loss minimum by rapidly and accurately inspecting polymer contamination in a conjugate spinning by dyeing a polymer block sampled on a saucer put under spinnerets.
This method for inspecting polymer contamination in a conjugate fiber spinning is to separately melt polymers having different dyeing characteristics, an easily dyeable polymer such as 5-sodium sulfoisophthalic acid copolyester, etc., and a difficultly dyeable polymer such as polyethylene terephthalate, spin the polymers from the outlet of the spinneret through independent flowing paths in a spinning pack, arrange a saucer 1 having a grip 2 at a position 320cm under the spinneret, sample filaments from the spinneret before cooling and solidifying, cool and solidify polymer blocks piled on the saucer 1 in the state of a spinneret arrangement, dip the polymer blocks in a dye bath at 90-100°C for 30-60 seconds, take out the polymer blocks in which the easily dyeable polymer is deeply dyed and the difficultly dyeable fiber is faintly dyed or not dyed and judge polymer contaminations caused by spinneret abnormalities by the difference of dyeing.
