Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for installation of a furnace of direct-energization heating type, in which oxidation resistance and durability of electrodes (graphite C-silicon carbide SiC) important for the furnace are improved, and heat resistance and durability, etc., are improved in a furnace material for holding the melt of incineration ash and slag, etc., of industrial wastes, and the range of treatment temperature is extended to an ultra-high-temperature to widen the range of objects to be treated.
SOLUTION: Durability is imparted to an electrode material excellent in heat resistance, and the furnace wall (electrode) is constituted by employing the treated electrode, further a heath is constituted of an insulating material, e.g. boron nitride, and the like, incompatible (moreover, liquid-repellent) with the melt of the treated object. In this furnace, count of constitutional components can be reduced, maintenance is easy and economical, the performance is improved, temperature rise at melting time becomes rapid, and the electric efficiency is improved to at least 75% by Joule heating of the melt.
