Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an instrument for measuring a head position of a driver accurately and precisely, without bringing a great influence onto a production cost of an automobile.
SOLUTION: This driver head position measuring instrument in an embodiment of the present invention is an instrument for measuring the head position of the driver in the automobile with rear view mirrors capable of adjusting the rear view mirrors by the driver itself. The instrument measures the head position of the driver in the automobile with the one or more of rear view mirror(s) out of the left and right rear view mirrors. One or more of inclination angle(s) out of the vertical- or horizontal-directional angles in the one or more of rear view mirror(s) is (are) detected, and a range of the head position of the driver is calculated based on the one or more of inclination angle(s).
