Abstract:

PURPOSE: To observe condition of charged material in a furnace at real time by using a TV camera picking up image with infrared ray to observe inner part of furnace top in the blast furnace.
CONSTITUTION: In the top part of blast furnace, an inspection hole 1 is arranged at iron shell 7 in the blast furnace at the position, where piling condition of the charged material 8 can be observed. A micro channel type image intensifier 4 is fitted to the TV camera 5 using CCD image device, etc., and after fitting a lens 3 and an optical filter 2 to this, these are fitted to the inspection hole 1. The optical filter 2 uses an infrared ray transmitting filter and a visible ray transmitting filter is arranged to this in changing over type. Signal from the TV camera 5 is inputted to a monitor TV 6 for observation. The optical filter 2 is used while changing over and the condition of charged material in the furnace from dark condition as visible ray just after charging the material to bright condition under red condition of the charged material, is observed.
