Abstract:

To extend the service life of an ion exchanger, i.e., the number of cycles for regenerating the ion exchanger, and to increase the elution level, and the loading/discharge capacity of the ion exchanger as the result therefrom.

A process for elution of rhenium adsorbed on strongly basic ion-exchange resin by means of a highly concentrated aqueous hydrochloric acid solution is described, in which the iron-exchange resin is treated with an aqueous solution containing an oxidizing agent.
