Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely carry out judgement with sensors without being affected by high heat and vapor generated from a die, at the time of judging whether cast remaining material exists or not in a die casting machine.
SOLUTION: After casting a work W with the die casting machine, it is judged whether a prescribed portion such as a casting flash B or overflow parts O1, O2 where the work W taken out from the die casting machine easily remains in the die casting machine exists or not, with the sensors 371-373 through detecting rods 271-273. Then, it is judged whether the cast remaining material exists or not in the die casting machine by detecting whether the prescribed portion exists or not.
