Title:
METHOD OF LAYING OVERHANG SIDEWALK
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3856791
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently ensure required resistance force to sliding and overturning, corresponding to the conditions of a laying site without needing to excessively increase the amount of ready-mixed concrete placed at the site.
SOLUTION: An overhang sidewalk block is composed of an anchor bottom slab placed on the upper face of foundation concrete constructed on the laying ground, and fixed to the foundation concrete by bolt joining; a sidewall slab connected to the outer edge upper face of the anchor bottom slab; and an overhang floor slab connected to the upper end outer surface of the sidewall slab. The overhang sidewalk blocks are joined in a chain in a length direction to lay an overhang sidewalk. In this case, one or both of width and thickness of the foundation concrete are set large, and mass of the foundation concrete itself and mass of backfilling sediment, a sidewalk paving material, or the like on the foundation concrete are added to stabilization calculation for impeding overturning and sliding of the overhang sidewalk block.
