Abstract:
PURPOSE: To properly apply lining to a different diameter pipeline by folding an expansible tube capable of expanding up to the max. inside diameter in the different diameter pipeline so as to become predetermined width and wrapping the folded tube in a sheet like article composed of a thicknened curable resin having a reinforcing fiber dispersed therein and rolling the sheet like article into a cylindrical shape so that both side edges thereof are superposed one upon another in a shiftable manner to use the same as a lining material.
CONSTITUTION: An expansible tube 4 is a thin plastic tube and has the diameter corresponding to the max. diameter of a pipeline and is folded so as to have the width corresponding to or smaller than the min. diameter part of the pipeline. A sheet like article 5 is composed of thicknened unsaturated polyester having a glass fiber dispersed therein and has width slightly larger than the inner peripheral length of the max. diameter part of the pipeline. This sheet like article 5 is rolled into a cylindrical shape to cover the expansible tube 4 and both side edge parts thereof are superposed one upon another in a mutually shiftable manner. This cylindrical sheet like article is inserted in a different diameter pipeline and, when the tube 4 is expanded, the superposed part of the sheet like article 5 is shifted to allow the sheet like article 5 to conform to the inner surface of the different diameter pipeline. Next, a heated air is sent into the pipeline to cure the resin. The outside of the sheet like article 5 is pref. covered with a cylindrical article 6 composed of waterproof canvas.
