Abstract:

PURPOSE: To control signals transmitted by the signaling device of an elevator on the basis of background illuminance and noise in the environment.

CONSTITUTION: Control units 1 include set control range values (reference values) 12, 13 for determining the ranges of variations in brightness and sound volume of signaling, and each of the sound volume and brightness control units includes a variable gain amplifier 6, a measuring amplifier 7, an illumination-measuring amplifier 4, and a brightness controlling amplifier 5. Background noise and illuminance in the environment are measured before the signaling and these measurements are compared with given reference values 12, 13. The brightness and sound volume of the signaling are controlled through this comparison to suitable values by the sound volume and brightness control units.
