Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method for localizing a sound image in which a sound image localization transfer function with high accuracy is obtained with less error in a band than that of a conventional method and an arithmetic processing time is shortened.
SOLUTION: At first an impulse response of an inverse transfer function of a speaker transfer function where an object transfer function is made as an inpulse response of a band pass filter is obtained as a 1st impulse response (S1), then an impulse response of an inverse transfer function of an external auditory miatus transfer function where the object transfer function is made as an impulse response of a band pass filter is obtained as a 2nd impulse response (S2), finally an impulse response of a head sound transfer function is made as a 3rd impulse response and convolution arithmetic operation is applied to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd impulse responses to obtain an impulse response of a sound image localization transfer function.
