PURPOSE: To improve the introducing performance of a wire and lubricating liquid into a die and wire drawability by arranging a rotary roller used for both guide and agitation in front of the inlet part of a die and executing the centering of the the wire and the agitation of lubricating liquid.
CONSTITUTION: Wire drawing is executed after the steel wire (a) is moved into a lubricating liquid W in a lubrication box 2 and exactly introduced onto the center line of a wire drawing part 13a of the die 13 by changing the course with the lower side of the rotary roller 8 used for both guidance and agitation. At this time, the rotary roller 8 is revolved by adequate friction caused by course change of the steel wire (a) and the lubricating liquid W is adequately agitated. The introduction of the lubricating liquid W into the wire drawing part 13a of the die 13 is promoted by this agitated flow and also the deterioration is prevented by effectively agitating the lubricating liquid W in the inlet part 11a of the die. The lubricating liquid W in the lubrication box 2 is made uniform and homogenous, good-quality and adequate lubricating liquid W is introduced into the wire drawing part 13a and wire-drawing performance and also working precision are improved.
