Abstract:

To provide a method and a machine for internal gear machining correcting a gear profile error in tooth profile grinding of an internal gear using a barrel type screw-like grinding wheel and achieving high accuracy in tooth profile grinding.

An NC device 31 functioning as a tooth profile error correction unit for an internal gear grinding machine (internal gear cutting machine) is configured to reduce pressure angle errors ΔfaL, ΔfaR on the tooth surface of a workpiece W (internal gear) measured by correcting a radial directional position, lateral directional position of the grinding wheel, turning angle of the grinding wheel, and helical motion, to reduce a tooth trace error ΔL on the tooth surface of the workpiece W measured by correcting the helical motion, and to reduce a tooth thickness error Δth on the tooth surface of the workpiece W measured by correcting the radial directional position, lateral directional position of the grinding wheel, and helical motion.
