Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit an application software to be used only by means of one computer by storing a register under whenever an application software is installed, reporting it to an provider side of a software, issuing a usage permission number by means of a software provider side and permitting a continuous usage by means of a correspondence relation of both numbers.
SOLUTION: A protect file is generated in the hard disk of a personal computer (S110). File identifying information FNAME is decided in accordance with a prescribed arithmetic rule based on the file name so as to be written in the protect file (S120). A present data is specified by the inner calendar of the computer so as to be written in the protect file (S140). Then, three random numbers are generated (S150) and the two of them are extracted (S160). The random numbers are applied to the arithmetic rule and the register number is calculated (S170) and displayed in a monitor (S180).
