PURPOSE: To provide a method for making a circular sheet suitable for production of a friction material stretched and provided to a friction plate, e.g. assembled in clutch, etc., and to provide a device therefor.

CONSTITUTION: This apparatus 1 for making a circular sheet-like material is equipped with a raw material feeder 10, a constant rate discharge pump 19, a sheet-like material-making device 20 and a dry press device 50 and the sheet-like material-making device 20 is equipped with a circular carrier net 32 below the interior of a sheet-like material-making tank 21, and a raw material escape hole 34 is provided in the ring of the carrier net 32, and further, a stirring propeller 23 is provided in the vicinity of the carrier net 32. The stirring propeller 23 is provided under the circular carrier net 32.
