Abstract:
To prevent a member from being deteriorated by ultraviolet rays by making the photo-semiconductor in the surface layer of the member absorb ultraviolet rays.
In a method for making a member hydrophilic and preventing the deterioration of the member by ultraviolet rays, a layer containing a photosemiconductor which is exited by ultraviolet rays is arranged in the surface layer area of the member, and measures are taken to prevent the deterioration of the member associated with the photo-redox reaction of the photo- semiconductor. In this way, the surface of the member is made hydrophilic, and ultraviolet rays to the member are absorbed by the photo-semiconductor. Additionally, the thickness of the layer containing the photo-semiconductor is 0.1μm or more.
