Abstract:
To provide an improved method of manufacturing 11(12)-pentadecen-15-olide.
In the method of manufacturing 11(12)-pentadecen-15-olide by using 1-hydroperoxy-16-oxabicyclo[10.4.0]hexadecane (DDP-OOH) as the raw material in the presence of a Cu(II) compound and a diluent, an azeotropic mixture containing water and the diluent is distilled and removed in the course of reaction.
