In the method, a material (billet) for semi-molten casting is manufactured by pouring a molten metal M of an aluminum alloy of an AC4C material into a container 1. After the molten metal M is poured into the container 1, ultrasonic wave vibrations are added from multiple directions by ultrasonic wave vibration adding devices 4A-4D. At this time, only a vibrator 7 of the ultrasonic wave vibration adding device 4A is immersed in the molten metal M. Ultrasonic wave vibrations are added toward the ferrous crystallized substance coarsening area Q at the center part of the molten metal M from the multiple directions with directionality and in the temperature area from the liquidus temperature to the solidus temperature of the molten metal M.
