Abstract:
To provide a method for suppressing the occurrence of chips during cutting, in a waveguide that is a die-cast molded antenna member.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing an antenna member, when the method manufactures recessed grooves 15A-15D constituting a part of a waveguide that is the antenna member, includes the steps of: die-cast molding an intermediate raw material 10A of the antenna member which has a side wall aligned with the sides of the grooves 15A-15D and extending from the top surface to the other side in the normal direction and which is provided with projections 41-45 projecting to the other side; and cutting the projection 41-45 with respect to the die-cast molded intermediate raw material 10A and removing the projections. If the recessed grooves 15A-15D are manufactured in the steps, the occurrence of chips during cutting can be suppressed and yield in manufacture can be improved, so that a reduction in manufacturing cost can be achieved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
