Abstract:

To provide a method for manufacturing a birch work in which a noble cherry bark can be used without leaving without impairing a value as a commodity due to a defect part generated when a bark is shaved from a denticel part of the cherry bark.

The method for manufacturing the birch work obtained by laminating the cherry bark on a substrate material comprises the steps of conducting Japanese lacquer coating on a lacked part and a recess such as a depressed knot or the like when the bar is shaved from the denticel part of the cherry bark, adhering a decorative powder such as a gold powder, a silver powder or the like to the Japanese lacquer coating surface by utilizing an adhesive force of the lacquer coating, repeating again the coating by the lacquer coating, expressing so that the recess such as the lacked part and the depressed-knot or the like is embedded so as not to impair beauty feeling.
