PURPOSE: To carry out the joint of bulkhead sections in a short time, by providing such a method that an opening is formed in the lower part of a widthwise side wall of a corrugated bulkhead, a trimming plate is positioned to a recess in the corrugated bulkhead above the opening plate beforehands on the ground, and the corrugated bulkhead is installed on a stool on a building berth.
CONSTITUTION: An opening 9 are formed in the lower section of a widthwise side wall 3a of a corrugated bulkhead 3 which is used for a wall of the hold of a bulkcargo ship. On the ground a trimming plate 40 is attached to a recess in the corrugated bulkhead above the opening 9. The corrugated bulkhead 3 which has been attached with the trimming plate 40 beforehands on the ground is installed on a stool on a building berth, and is subjected to a joint process with the use of the opening 9. In comparison with a conventional method in which trimming plates are jointed on the building berth this method may be carried out in a short time.
